Logistic & Importation Specialist

The Logistic & Importation Specialist is responsible for conducting the importation process of new vehicles, as well as overseeing logistics and the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) of all imported units. This role also includes executing and overseeing invoice processing, and ensuring the proper handling of incoming and outgoing vehicles. Additionally, the specialist provides internal and external (dealer) support related to sales processes and systems, and offers assistance to PBR, including the release of official government reports.

Tasks

  • Control of all foreign trade documentation for vehicle importation, classification under the correct NCM code and its tariff exemptions, for accurate tax payment;
  • Verify any atypical importation processes, control and support the Trading Company (service provider);
  • Control of national logistics, importer logistics branch/warehouse, and the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) process for vehicles, including vehicle labeling control, before shipment to dealers;
  • Control/receipt of sales invoices from the Trading company to PBR and process vehicle stock entry;
  • Issue vehicle invoices to dealers, in coordination with the tax department, while monitoring logistics service providers, optimizing processes and ensuring execution in the shortest time possible;
  • Provide SAP support to dealer, regarding systems provided by PAG (PVMS, Pprint, PDSR, etc);
  • Support PBR regarding regulatory matters related to the automotive sector, to ensure compliance with government obligations and provide proper support to the company in making strategic decisions;
  • Request and monitor the release of import licenses from IBAMA to authorize or block the shipment of vehicles from Germany to Brazil, ensuring that the importation of vehicles complies with environmental regulations and the necessary licenses are obtained before the shipment takes place;                                                                          
  • Coordinate the service provision of the trading company, which includes overseeing payments, logistics service providers, and KPIs to ensure the quality and integrity of the services provided;
  • Support operations at the Cariacica – ES branch, supporting the successful logistics of new vehicles in Brazil;
  • Handle damages during the logistics process, identifying responsibilities and making sure of proper reimbursement for any damages incurred to ensure that the correct parties are held responsible for any damages that occur during the logistics process;
  • Support PBR regarding regulatory matters related to the automotive sector, to ensure compliance with government obligations and provide proper support to the company in making strategic decisions;

Requisitos e qualificações

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Foreign Trade, International Relations, Business Administration, or related fields.


Experience

  • 5 years of working experience in foreign trade and regulatory affairs;
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on import and logistics processes for 0km vehicles.

 

Skills

  • Knowledge in SAP/ERP systems;
  • Familiarity with Porsche Sales Systems (PVMS, PDSR, C@P) is a plus;
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal);
  • Self-motivated and proactive;
  • Problem Solver;
  • Team oriented working attitude and intercultural understanding.
